What im proposing to my principal
In the last week and a half the whole school as had our chance to buy our homecoming tickets. Today (Monday, October 18, 2004) homecoming tickets were all sold out. Most of the people that bought tickets were the underclassman. While the upperclassman had to pay for senior dues, car payments, insurance, gas, homecoming outfits, and plenty more most of us werent going to purchase our tickets until later on in the week. For the past couple of years that was no problem since they wouldnt sell out until they day before the dance. Since the school has started the homecoming court for everyone, opening it up for the whole school to participate, everyone wants to go. Its outrageous when the school only sells 300 tickets. Two-hundred and fifty tickets are for both the dinner and the dance. While the other fifty are just for the kids to come later into the night and just dance. At a school that has a population of about 3,200 kids you think that they would sell more than just 300 tickets. With those numbers only 9.4% of sandalwood can attend. Out of 3,200 kids there are 500 in the senior class and not even 50 of them had bought tickets yet. Thats 10% of our senior class attending their senior homecoming. All were(seniors) asking is that we hold a homecoming dance in which anyone who wants to go can go.
