Tina Fey article, Jane picspam meme
I just read the most incredible article ever about Tina Fey. Written by Maureen Dowd, photos by Annie Leibovitz (in case there was any doubt in your mind). This is going to sound completely crazy, but I feel like...this article is just really relevant to my life. It's not just a bunch of talk about how awesome she is. It's all about her work ethic and her personality and where the brilliance of her writing comes from. Which is just an incredibly valid thing for me, because I want her job when I grow up and getting to that place can't really be a premeditated thing. Before now I never really understood her personality to this extent, but it turns out she is exactly as much of a bitch as Liz Lemon is (her husband is totally whipped, I love it) and she's much more together than I thought she'd be. And finally an answer to the scar mystery, although I think I already stopped caring about that.

I want to do this picspam meme because I never really picspam Jane, I just say kind of esoteric things about her all the time and leave it at that. I don't like imposing my fandom on people, but I figure if you read my posts about her, it might be convenient to have some visuals and maybe see why I enjoy her so much. I don't really think I would go to the ends of the earth for her because she's like my release from being totally dependent on fandom, but I do heart her immensely, so I think that's good enough.
These pictures are from my collection of SNL/High Cost of Living screencaps, scans of some magazine/newspaper clippings, Corbis, Google, eBay, and one from flickr (from some event/radio thing she did, but I can't remember where I found it so I hope the state of Connecticut will forgive me). There are a couple of pictures I love but couldn't put in there because I treasure my SNL season 2 limited edition booklet and fear the death and destruction that would ensue if I had to fold a page over to scan it. *shrugs* My loss.
SNL promo. I think this was done during season 1 because it's the one they use for her on the DVD menu, but I'm not positive. She looks all happy and cute, I love it.
Jane, Laraine, and Gilda. I don't remember when this was taken, but suffice to say, it's pretty awesome. They're definitely my favorite comedy trio.
Season 2? It's either 2 or 3, but it's an Emily Litella editorial so it was probably season 2. I think Emily just called her a bitch, or she's about to. Jane/Gilda ftw.
Early season 3, one of the bumpers from Hugh Hefner's appearance hosting the show and probably one of my favorite pictures ever conceived. Gilda, Jane, Hef, and Laraine.
Late season 3, Nerds Prom. Jane is being awkward with Buck Henry. I had to include this because Enid Loopner is just priceless and awesome forever, and clearly the cutest ever.
I have no idea when this is taken, but it looks like it might be from one of the later seasons. I think they're just chilling on the set or something.
I don't even know what this is, but I think it's a pretty epic picture and it reinforces the completely legitimate claim that Jane is kind of a hottie.
I posted this in my How to Beat the High Cost of Living picspam, but I'm reposting it because I'm totally obsessed with her face at this moment (when Susan Saint James pulls her foot out of the glove compartment after an unfortunate sexual escapade) because it's kind of awkward and cute, I don't know. Susan Saint James is kind of hovering in the corner.
Also from How to Beat the High Cost of Living, when she's doing her random striptease to distract the security guards. This was a promo shot and I don't even remember if she makes this face in the movie, but it reminded me of Enid Loopner before I even saw the movie so I've always loved it.
I don't have any pictures from Kate & Allie and no picture in which Jane has scary bangs qualifies for this, so that takes care of the last few seasons of K&A as well as 3rd Rock from the Sun. So we're going from 1980 to around 2005 (how traumatizing) when she was filming Crumbs. I think that's Fred Savage kissing her on the head, and she's just being her crazy, cute, neurotic character.
