- My tumblr. Join me in this magical land. I need someone to reblog so I'm not just like the fat Asian kid who keeps hanging out with the cool kids and doesn't think it's suspicious that they keep paying him $10 to eat their evil soup of chicken, ice cream, and salt. Sorry, was that metaphor too specific?
- I'm writing a script about a couple of people who go to Minnesota and sabotage Al Franken's campaign for Senate so he'll go back to writing for SNL, because they're worried the show will get canceled if the writing doesn't start to get better. In other words, my own subconscious desires released in the form of a script. Obviously I would never do that because it's ridiculous/selfish/stupid in every way imaginable. But I've found that "something I'm not stupid enough to do" usually ends up being a pretty good premise for a script, so I'm going with it.
- Jane Curtin did a radio interview a couple of days ago. It was kind of boring. They didn't ask her any good questions, and they didn't get her to talk shit about Chevy, so by my criteria that's a pretty unexciting interview. But I enjoy hearing from her from time to time, so it's all good. Also, I just watched a clip from a Penn & Teller special from the 90's where she does a magic trick with her ear. I don't really know how to make that sound cool, but I didn't do much today so it was actually a high point.
- SO. MUCH. AWESOME. Oh my god, I am in love with this episode. I'm so psyched that Wilson is back, because life is just not the same when he's all depressed and bitchy. His purpose in life is to be House's bitch, and I like it that way. I love how having House screw him over and make his life difficult is apparently the most fun he's had since Amber died. That sounds like them.
As I was watching it I was constantly reminded of why it's one of my favorite shows. Because I'm not really active in the fandom, but it's still one of the best shows I've ever seen. The writing is just like pure genius (I should probably tell you that I accidentally typed that as "purse genius" the first time. Irony, I love you!), and the characters are all amazing. The show delves into them in the most brilliant way ever because it's in the casual manner of "I'm an ass and I'm going to psychoanalyze you while you die because it brings satisfaction to my cruel soul." I wish my life was exactly like that.
House: [trying to work through an example] ...say you’re a middle-aged Chinese woman.
Wilson: Fine.
House: Say it.
Wilson: I’m a middle-aged Chinese woman.
- I watched this before Thursday night TV, and...well, I love girly comedies about losers. So it was really cute and totally worth the watch. But I wasn't that enthusiastic about the writing. I'm so used to seeing Tina in things that she's written herself, so it was kind of a step down. It wasn't too bad, it just didn't seem to fall together in the right way. I kept thinking it would be so much better if she had sort of taken over and done something with the script. I'm becoming such a Tina Fey elitist. I love it, though.
Also, I definitely ship her with Greg Kinnear and now want to open up a fruit smoothie shop of my own. Or maybe I just want to make a fruit smoothie. Unfortunately, I can't, because all the orange juice is gone. Balls. You know, if I had a smoothie shop, I wouldn't have this problem.
