Ok, so I'm guessing everyone knows the painting Girl with a Pearl Earring. Now someone did an interesting recreation of it and since I'm subscribing to this thingie, I got the notice and looked it up. Pretty, very pretty.
Now what destroyed me is the fact that one of the comments summed it up like this (the first part more or less, the second part the same):
"Cool/amazing (or whatever praise insert here) art, great movie too!"
What about the fact that the original was created by Johannes Vermeer? That the painting is itself beautiful? But no, people see the movie?! Why?! I mean, I liked the movie. It was quite nicely filmed and the scenes were done in a painting-like atmosphere.
