I was at the CD store on base a few months back. Right next to the Comps are the top 10 CDs. Number 4 was The Killers. I thought another stupid band with the word "THE" in its name. Then about 2 weeks later Broady bought the OC mix 2 soundtrack. And the Killers had a song on it called Smile Like You Mean It. Good song. But not good enough for me to buy the CD. Two weeks from then I'm watching the OC on TV. And guess who's on the show? The Killers. Not a bad performance but it was on TV. A week later the Grammys are on. The killers a nominated for about 3 awards. Still I don't buy the CD. I think of all the hype about The Strokes and I still resist. Then I hear a song on the radio with the lyrics "Somebody told me you have a boyfriend who looks like a girlfriend" I go that's a good song. But I don't know who sang it. Well all this brings me to this morning at 8:30 AM. I've been up since 9PM last night when I woke up and went to work. So It's morning and I'm up after working a Mid shift. I turn on my TV and search the channels. I get MTV Germany in but its really fuzzy. And then i hear a really good song with a decent video. It sounds like Modest mouse/ Franz with a touch of Interpol. So I sit and listen to the video so I can see who sings it. And low and behold it's The Killers with the video for Mr Brightside. So I finally caved in and went to buy it today. Along with Gratitudes debut album.

Well the point of this long rant is that recently I've been a little bit too picky on the Music I listen too. I judge bands way to quick just because of the word "the" in the name or if the CD is in the top 10 list. So I've decided to give different types of music a try. I bought Dead Poetic, Emery and Rise Against CDs last month, because I read on a website that these CDs were really good, but they sound like all the other CDs I've been recently buying. Cookie cutters is how I like to describe them. That's all for now.

PS I like Kelly Clarksons CD.

PSS Nellys Suit is really good too.
