Maybe not. I haven't posted here in a while. Not because I have abandoned it or would go to any of the many possible other sites that a lot of folks are migrating to. I'll stick around here until it really dies, I'm fine with that.
But the real reason I haven't been posting is because I have been working on the other blogs. The Persephone Blog as well as the Tumbleweed Blog have been priorities. I've also been doing projects for The Juggler and PNC Atlanta. That is taking up a lot of my time, which is a good thing.
I did, however, just get back to Atlanta from a lovely vacation in Minneapolis. A while back,
dreamsidhe and her boyfriend suggested we meet up for a Detroit Lions away game. That was before the schedule was even announced. Originally we had wanted to go to Tampa, but as it turned out that game was the Sunday before I needed to take time off for Christmas. So, we picked another game that was at a convenient time, and it turned out to be against the Vikings. So, we booked our tickets.
After we did that I said to myself, "hey self,
snowcalla lives in Minneapolis. I should see about getting together with her!" And that was exactly what we did.
oneandonlymatt and I arrived in Minneapolis mid-day on Saturday and met up with
dreamsidhe and her boyfriend for lunch. We wandered all over the city on Saturday and didn't turn in until pretty late. Sunday, we got up for the game and I'd rather not talk about that debacle. It was the Lions, so I bet you can figure how that went.
However, after the game we took a nap and then got ready to meet
snowcalla for dinner. We tried to go to one place that was closed Sunday night so we ended up at Seven Steakhouse and the food was fabulous. The company was wonderful - everyone seemed to get along with everyone else and there wasn't that weird awkwardness when you introduce random friends with one another, and since I had never met her in person it was delightful to get to talk to her.
We had a great time in Minneapolis. Makes me want to go back.
