So, it started this morning when I was on my way to work. I had barely left my house, I had only been gone for about 15 minutes and wasn't that far from home. I was stopped at a light behind a line of cars also stopped at the same light. I was minding my own business, in fact not paying much attention at all just waiting for the light to change. Next thing I know, someone rear ends me and sends me into the car in front of me. All three of us pull off the road into a gas station parking lot. The girl asked if we were okay, but she didn't seem terribly torn up about it. I called the police and it took them about 15 minutes to get there. Meanwhile, the person in front of me was really odd. She at one point said she thought she might sue the girl for lost wages since she would be late to work. Seriously? She would be about 15 minutes late... The Cop came, took all the information and it took a while for him to create the report. He gave the case number to myself and the lady in the car I hit. And sent us on our way. He gave a ticket to the girl who hit us. I am fine, but the way. I teensy bit sore. I was stunned more than anything. My car doesn't seem to have any damage.
Then, a little later in the morning, I was out doing Customer Care. I had several clients to visit. I was in one building where our client was up on the 27th floor. After I finished up, I was in the elevator with one other person. The elevator stopped at the 24th floor, but the doors didn't open. She pushed a button and nothing. I pushed a button, and nothing. It was about two minutes and finally I pushed another button and it went. Really, if I had been stuck in an elevator it would have just made my day.
We are leaving for Asheville tonight. We will finally get the insulation done.
