As I mentioned to
reikimaster, I don't normally write down my New Year's Resolutions. However, as I sit here I figure it can't hurt to get some goals on the official record. So here are some of my goals for 2009.
1) finish and publish my book. I intended to do this last year. I got sidetracked. I plan to do it this year. I just want to get it out there, so I'll be using
https://www.createspace.com.
2) Learn how to play my pennywhistle - at least a couple of recognizable songs all the way through. I started learning scales yesterday and some of them even sounded like actual notes.
3) Build a Tumbleweed Tiny House. This should actually be the easiest goal to accomplish because I am doing it with other people.
4) Write a comedy, a drama and a pilot spec script for my screenwriting portfolio.
oneandonlymatt bought me a book on television screen writing and I have a couple ideas.
5) Beef up my personal spiritual practice. I would like to go back to church, but I think we need to find a different Unitarian Universalist church. Since the pastor left at the one we were attending, I haven't been very interested in that one. Augment with individual practice including things like meditation and prayer.
6) Continue with an exercise and healthy eating program. Partly because it is just a good thing to do and partly because I have a Dragon*Con costume that I want to look super hot in.
Six ideas are all I can come up with for now. Sometimes I think I have too many excuses to not do these things. I often call myself a very typical Aries - I start with something and I do well for a while and then I get distracted and give up. I need some ideas to keep the momentum going on all of these plan ideas.
I wish everyone a happy and healthy new year. Best of luck on your own personal resolutions.
