"The MacGyver in Me"
I haven't posted in 27 days, and a lot has happened in those 27 days. It all started with a trip to New Zealand on the 7th of March, my dad and i were in New Zealand for 9 days. We were at a ball (dance) one night for a Cooper Vision/Bausch & Lomb convention for my dads work and these revolutionists took over the building, they locked everyone in. (It was amazing, everything happens for a reason) They weren't terrorists really because they didn't have guns or weapons really except some had sticks, but they just wanted to prove some point about corporations taking over America and now New Zealand, and the rest of the World. It was great though because this was totally something that would happen in MacGyver. I was in slacks, a dress shirt, and a sport coat, but underneath i had my light blue vintage T-shirt that looked just like the shirts the bad guys had on. I also had my Swiss army knife of course, I take it everywhere I go. So i made my outfit look similar to theirs and since i was a kid i blended in. i went to one of the exits and was able to convince the guy guarding it that i need to get more fliers. He let me out, i ran to the parking lot and started shaking all the nice cars to make all the alarms go off, then when the guys went to see what was going on, i ran back to the building unlocking two of the doors so people could start getting out . It was actually the most MacGyver thing I could have done. Then i ran back into the building and yelled that the alarms are all going off and the police are coming and they all left, and i ran with them part ways just to get them going, because they thought i was one of them. I even kept one of there lame fliers about Nego-Capitalism. It was amazing, all of the Reps. for the companies were so impressed, that they gave my all of the prizes from the give-away, which was a camera and an iPod mainly. Also they were impressed with my ability to pull it off so quickly and with confidence that they offered my an internship with them for the summer and i would travel the world with them and go to all of the meetings, but i am not sure if i am going to do it yet, but they insisted that i go to Australia with them for 3 more days and Tokyo for 2 more days, and they paid for the entire extension of the trip. Then i got back 14 days later and went to lake Oswego and told my school about what had happened and they said everything will be fine, and i am not getting screwed for any of my classes, also they did an article about my adventure in the school paper, The Torch and then the Oregonian found out and did an insert about it and now night line wants to do a 15 minute segment on it and i am getting paid for it, i might even get on Good Morning America. And it is all thanks to MacGyver. But my spring break was pretty relaxing i just went to the beach with the Peppers and Dani Levine, and i chilled in LO. It was fun being all over the world and helping people and getting appreciated for it, but i don't know if i could do it as a living it is intense and it would be sad to leave my normal life for so long, i would miss my friends and family and especially Jorie, i love you Jor. It was a great memory, i will keep up in the TV appearances and let you all know when i will be on. It is great they are calling the story "The MacGyver in Me". Also the Newspaper article is in the Oregonian, Monday March 21st. Anyways I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break, tell me about it.
