Gratitude

It's Christmas eve. I don't believe in Christianity as the end all be-all. I believe it's a religion that has dominated us for too long and I believe it is time for it to fall, soon I hope.
Jesus was really cool, and I can say that living according to his teachings would be a nice thing. If only people didn't twist it to suit them, right? True Christians don't bug me at all. I know a couple of them, TRUE Christians who follow Jesus' model. People who do good and judge not and go out of their way to help others... yeah.
That said I am going to list the things I am grateful for...
My car works, its warm and runs great. My tires are in great shape. Nothing on the car is broken. There is three quarters of a tank of gas.
My abode is plenty warm and snug.
There is enough food in the pantry to get me through a week. I have enough popcorn and ginger ale. My favorite snack.
I have almost all my cowboi hats with me.
I have the strength to shovel the driveway. I have plenty of winter clothes to keep me warm while doing it.
I have a new (used) computer that is fast and I can watch videos. and chat, if there happens to be anyone to chat with in the future I can chat with them.
This year I managed to save my teeth from falling out. They are clean and healthy now.
I have benifits. And except for the dentist and the optometrist I don't need to use them just yet. I had my blood panel analyzed and all systems are go!
I have lots of energy and can run seven miles an hour for two minutes! I can run three miles and feel only slightly tired.
People tell me they love my salt and pepper hair.
I have a television, two in fact. Both were free. I have a gift certificate from my best friend for a bookstore and can't wait to go get a few books.
I have a gift certificate from work for anything I want up to twenty five bucks.
Tonight I get to sing with the church choir. I get to put voice to my gratitude. I can go to church and not be sucked into the big religion machine... for that I am grateful.
I have a plan for getting out of Alaska. and people in Oregon I look forward to meeting.
I have a sharp mind and it will only get sharper.
I have a year of sobriety and a good sponsor.
I have two pairs of brand new hiking boots; and a brand new pair of running shoes.
I have a radio! I have a play station! I have all the Crash Bandicoot games for PS1!
I live in America. I'm lucky to be an American.
I make ten thirty an hour and will hopefully get a raise in February.
I'll add more if I think of stuff.
