For a moment Spike's expression is blank but not in that artfully crafted way but more in that I'm trying to figure out what has just happened to my world sort of way.
"Was lookin' for Buffy but I wouldn't mind a look at the land of luxury."
"Well, if you could find a way to make sure that going from the mud pit to the waterfall won't clog up the filters." Spike's actually getting into this at this point.
It is a rare thing that spike and xander have a conversation that doesn't end up in sharp words.
"I'm sure Giles will have all sorts of ideas about books and music. Just don't go so far as to have a stripper pole and I think you'll be okay but you're on the line now, you know?"
Spike looks around and then looks over at Xander, "That was the idea. Is she here?"
The floor creaks as Buffy steps around the corner, clothed in a simple black dress and her hair pulled up in a bun, blond wisps brushing her shoulders.
"I don't know, I hear that stripping's good exercise."
Spike smiles toward her in her simple dress. He steps further into the room, though he doesn't head toward her just yet. This is her territory as well as Xander's and he respects that at least a little bit.
Spike chuckles softly at that. If they're having a good enough time, he's sure he can find a place for them to be at sunrise. Inclining his head toward Xander, he starts walking out the door and toward the elevator.
"Spike! It's been ages. How are you?"
He's put on a faux-"upper crust" accent, particularly for the last sentence, as he uses the pipestem to point at the vampire.
"Come by to check out the Grotto?"

He produces a notepad from the stand near the door, proudly displaying a hand-drawn 'blueprint' that he's clearly spent a few hours on.
"Now here's the question - should the mud pit and the Jell-O pit be side by side, or separated to spread around the fun?"

Spike leans in to look at the blueprint a little more closely.

The pipe is set aside in favor of a pencil, and he draws a line from the mud pit's current location to another spot.
"What about over here, by the waterfall?"

"Good thinking. And I probably should see if Giles has anything to add. I think he's got a gram or two of testosterone that hasn't dried up yet."
The pencil is tucked away in the spiral wire that binds the notebook, and he picks the pipe up.
"Here to talk to Buffy?"

She's a little nervous, shifting from one foot to the other.
"So, um. Should we go?"

"I guess real pipes don't do the bubble thing very well. You kids don't stay out too late, huh?"

Spike offers up his arm to Buffy, looking to take her from Xander.
