Drusilla stops, and sways a moment, like she does when a particularly hard vision hits her. Both Spike and Angel are familiar with this, having seen it thousands of times before.

Well, maybe not thousands, but after a couple of decades, you lose track.

"Oh.. my.." she pants, her eyes snapping open. Pure terror infuses her, and she shrieks, "RUN!" while breaking into a run herself, deeper into the office building, away from the windows that are broken open.

It probably is thousands.

It has been a long time but instinct is hard to fight.

When Drucilla breaks into a run, Spike follows before realizing whatever it is will not likely be able to hurt him.

Angel's right behind, staying close to Dru to make sure this isn't some sort of ploy.

She turns and looks, when she is safely in a hallway. The sunlight reaches out to her, and she throws an arm over her face, preventing damage to her eyes. Her skin starts to sizzle, and she hisses and draws back further into the building, where the unnatural sun blazes outside, killing vampires faster than a child killing ants with a magnifying glass.

When it's over, she smiles brightly at Spike. "I saw the sun, Spike," she coos, oblivious to the burns on her arm. "Wish I could have gone out to play.."

Fred was poleaxed when she heard "Run," coming from the crazy vampire's lips. Was it a ploy? She saw Spike turn and run without question, but thankfully Angel paused, if only for a moment.

She wasn't fast enough. For a moment she stood there, wondering if she was looking at some kind of nuclear blast, right before the shock wave hit. She cringed a little, but then realized when the light continued, that it was warm and gentle on her skin.

Sunlight.

She looked at her watch, and yes - it was midnight.

Sunlight in darkest night? That sure sounded magical. Maybe it was that nice lady up on the rooftop, what was her name? Willow? Spike seemed to know her..

The light only lasted a few minutes, but she marveled at it the whole time. It wasn't until the light had faded and night returned, that she realized how much danger Angel had been in.

"Angel?" She ran in the direction the vampires (and ghost) had gone, trying to catch up.

Spike seems a bit distracted, mostly by the fact that THE SUN had just come up for a bit in the middle of the night. He's been out in the sun a lot more than any vampire ever should but he's not been one to let a little inconvenience, or pain, stop him from anything.

"Yeah, Dru. I saw it too."

He's still standing where he stopped to watch.

"I think.. this has taken things to a new level of play," Drusilla conjectures, possible futures floating past her eyes like motes of dust. "It's about to get very interesting."
