uhhhhhn. waking up at 6am every other day really bites balls. really. then "sleeping in" until 7:30 on the other days really feels glorious until i come home completely exhausted from four classes back to back

i did one in 10th grade on capital punishment [i can't even remember which side i was arguing for, it was that lame of an assignment to me because i didn't care] and i got like a low C on it. i don't think i'm destined to write these kinds of things, i think that's why i'm kind of 'meh' about it. i can't really find anything that interests me enough to write about.

the genetic engineering one sounds pretty interesting though! *rubs chin* picking the 'other side' is the ideal decision too i think, because you're actually learning new things in the process. you're getting a well-rounded perspective coming out of it all.

haha, and yeah... my boyfriend took this same class before me and his teacher just said "don't write anything about religion or homosexuality," i'm guessing because it's too touchy of a topic to try and successfully persuade people, much less get them to consider... joining the side? i don't know, i can't remember what her reason was. :/ it is a really popular topic though, maybe even a little overdone as well. finding reliable sources is also a little more difficult with it too, since you have one side either quoting the bible or some other religious book, and the other side quoting perhaps some sturdy scientific information, but i think it's probably a little too new of information to really consider it accurate in some cases.
