For my birthday I got 40 dollars in gift certificates to HMV.
So I bought this Pink Floyd Double live. I must say, I don't really know Pink Floyd, but I've heard a couple songs recently and nearly shit myself I loved it so much.
So on my first listen I decided to go for a 2 hour walk, long enough to listen to the whole thing. It has to have been one of the best walks ever. There was light rain, and this amazing music, and by the time it was over I was just so mellow. It was amazing.
Coincidentally, I also boughtthe new Metallica album...fuck you it's pure gold. And if you ever think that they aren't good to their fans...screw you. With this album (20 dollars) you get a 75 min album. A dvd showing them rehearsing all of the songs. Plus as a thank you for buying the album they give you access to a web page with around 50 live versions of random songs which you are allowed to "download, burn, share, rock out". Plus they're really good people anyway.
