(no subject)
I just found out the other day that a coworker is being charged with something like child rape, molestation and incest...and the girl is 14. Are you fucking kidding me? You work day in and day out with someone, people often spend more time at work and the people they work with than at home, and you think you know them. They let you think they're a family man, who loves their wife, who loves their kids, where your coworkers take up a collection and buy your kids gifts so they could have a christmas because you were dead broke.
Why?
I hope he knows what the other inmates will do to him if the guards put him in the general population.
I wonder if I should get another job. I havent stopped looking in the 10 years I've been with this company. It doesnt bode well that I've known 2 people who've committed suicide, a few or more people with cancer (some survived, some not), one massive heart attack in the store (survived), one with some sort of severe memory loss, kidney transplant (survived), HIV (still kicking), one sudden death due to cancer/heart failure (right after diagnosis), domestic violence, stealing money, adultery and now this? Holy crap it sounds like I'm surrounded by total dysfunction all of the time. it doesnt feel like it and these things are always a surprise, but when I list it out, it seems like a lot which is worrying.
