Denmark Scam
Looking at the EAP guide, Denmark looks very pretty and the program sounded really fun. But...the reality is deifferent....
1, Where I live:
I literally live in a crazy ppl's home. I mean the place I am assigned to used to be a mental institution. The place wasn't cleaned when I first moved in, and everything is broken (TV, Microwave, and the stoves used to be broken too) There are no one cleaning or stocking our bathroom even though it's a dorm (I know I am spoiled) =) The bathroom is flithy, and there are no phones or internet connection in our dorm of 120 ppl.
2, Lost all the time:
Even though you are suppose to bike or walk through Denmark, I find it impossible to find anything here without getting lost (I get lost going to class everyday, so the supposed 15 minutes walk turns into a 45 minutes one for me). This is primarily because there are no street signs, or the street signs are so small that you can't see them.
3, Crazy school, crazy office hours
Okay. So the school is not a campus. Meaning, one part of the school is on one island, and the other parts are on different islands. But that's not all, the different dept have different hours. For example, I went to visit the Poli Sci dept the other day, and its hours was 9-12 pm on Tuesday, and the international office hours are something like 1-3pm on Tues and Thurs, and the citizen registration office's hours are like 9:30-14:30 everyday except Thurs.
