The only Architecture in Helsinki song I've heard was "It'5!" and I thought it was pretty good. The Australian sextet's new album, Places Like This has been leaked, and probably most listeners of the musical ensemble already have the tracks downloaded. I'm not a listener of AiH, so this album was pretty much the basis of my opinion on their music.
"Red Turned White" was a song that I didn't particularly like. Neither was "Heart It Races," the following song on the record. Although these songs weren't completely terrible, I would suggest that their are other better songs that the band could provide with. The next track, "Hold Music" is energetic and lively, the way I so far picture the band as being.
I wasn't really that tempted to hear any other AiH albums after hearing It'5! until this new album was leaked. "Feather in a Baseball Cap" isn't funky and upbeat like I thought it might be, but it doesn't sound too bad, either. Neither does "Underwater," which seems to sound nice. "Like It Or Not" is fun to dance to and is catchy. It's pretty good, and turns your calm, mellow mood more energizing.
"Debbie," the following tune, is fine to listen to as background noise. "Lazy (Lazy)," whose title made me expect the song to seem mellow and of that sort, is not lazy at all. "Nothing's Wrong" sounds a little different than everything else on the album, but it's one of the good songs on the set of tunes. "The Same Old Innocence" closes the hyped album just perfectly.
So now I have a general idea of how Architecture in Helsinki sounds. They're definitely not bad, except they're not my favorite, either. If there's ever a moment when you're really bored and feeling dull, this album will absolutely aid you. B +
