Long Weekend
Check out the new picture. It makes me laugh. . .we took that picture specifically for Angela at Old South on Saturday. We had too much fun.
Sat. morning Sandra and I started working at the Paradiso. It was interesting to say the least. I like it so far. Hopefully I'll get to work with Brianna soon. We didn't get off of work until late so it was crazy trying to get home and get ready for Old South.
On the way home, I called my daddy to tell him about my conversation with the man from Kroger (about my car.) He sounded strange so I asked what was wrong. Turns out, early Sat. morning he went deer hunting with my brother. When he was climbing down the stand he lost his grip on the step and fell 10 feet down to the ground.. OUCH. . Yeah, he broke his shoulder and bruised his hip pretty bad. This is the first bone that my dad has ever broken. Pretty good for a 60 year old man.
Anyways, we rushed home and started getting ready for Old South. Finally, everyone was ready so we headed over to the KA house. (when I say everyone I mean: Ashley, Diane, Brianna, Sandra and I)There were alot of people outside waiting to leave, so I went inside to find Kyle. Poor thing was dealing with a monstrous cut on his head that wouldn't stop bleeding. . .We rode with Zach and Diane down there. I had a really good time at the formal. . .I'd say it's the second best formal ever. My fav. formal was definitely last years Old South when I was named the Rose. But like I said, this years was a blast. . .Fabulous news is that my lil sis is the NEW Rose! YAY! That makes me really happy! (Congrats Ash !sorry I cried) AND.. . .the new sweetheart was named and that was Yo Angela (*grins*) Both were well deserved. Congrats to you too, Angela. I sure wish you could have been there with us, it definitly was not the same without you. We, however, did honor your request with the pics though! HA! Kyle, thank you so much for taking me. I had a really good time. You were an awesome date (and the best date I've had),BENNY!
Sunday I woke up to my cell phone ringing. I didn't recognize the number so I went ahead and answered it. It was Brooke (my sister-in-law) calling to find out where I was. I eventually made my way to ole Brown Town to spend the night. .. Meaghan, Noah, and especially Taylor have gotten SOOOO big. . it makes me sad. I wish I could see them more often.
Monday, I had to help my dad put his socks and shoes on. . .It was pitiful. I've never seen him helpless before and I hate it. He had a doctors appt. in Jackson to see a specialist. After they saw him, they sent him straight to the hospital to have surgery. He didn't get home till late last night. He's ok now, but he can't work for 6-8 weeks. That's gonna drive him nuts! He hates not having anything to do.
In exactly one week I'll be packing to go see Paul !!! Woo Hoo. . I can not wait!
Well. . .I guess that's all for now. . I'm leaving tomorrow to go back to Brownsville for Thanksgiving. I will be back Thursday night cause I have to work . .yuck... oh well, I need the money.
