So it seems that apparently whenever I wear this particular skirt, I get hit on. For the second time in a week (a personal record) I was approached by a random guy, this time in a hallway, and the situation was very awkward.
Random Dude: Ay yo, can I holla at you fo' a minute?? (Not embellished or changed in any way, I'm so serious this is what he said!)
Me: (Since I can't function like a regular person the first thing that comes out of my mouth is the first thought I have upon turning around and seeing this fellow) You were in my math class last year.
RD: What?
Me: You were in my math class last year.
RD: Word? (Moment of recognition) OHHHHH! YEAHHH!!! My fault, you were!!! My homie back there wants to holla at you.
Me: (Shaking my head and continuing to walk to my next class)
RD: No? You can't look at him first?
Me: I have to get to class.
RD: You gotta be at class right now? Like right now right now??
Me: Yes.
RD: Aiight Ima find you on Monday then! Aiight?
Me: (Mumbling sarcastically) you do that.
As you can see, I do not react well in these situations and I think it threw me off that it happened twice in a week. And if you think I'm bad, keep in mind that my mother, who used to get harassed daily, used to curse guys out. At least I stay civil. But apparently the inability to react properly or know how to react in these situations (ie: fight or flight syndrome) runs in the family.
I'm putting all the blame on that skirt.
Tonight should be fun, two parties in one day so I'm bound to post my party outfit and pictures from the party if I can get some batteries or find my charger.
