Now we have a riot on our hands, guys. As if we need more proof that the system here doesn't work.
And the truth is that West is right. Some of us have probably done far worse than they ever have. We're bastards and thieves and murderers the same as they are. What makes us different is that we made a choice, a choice to be something better than we were, to take the higher path instead of the easier one.
I'm not going to sit by and let this kind of disorder take over my house. I'm going to fight back, my way. Which means I'm not going to stand for bloodshed. I'm not going to stand for arguing or backbiting. I sure as hell won't stand for anyone barging in there and getting anyone killed.
I'm heading down there by myself, to talk to them. If that doesn't work I want the security team down there to back me up. Then, and only then, does the fighting start. Violence is a last resort. I don't want anyone hurt who doesn't have to be. And our first priority is to get the hostages out safely.
Prentiss, Rayne, Silhouette, Kirk, and Janeway: I'll let you know the second my negotiations fall through. If you don't hear from me in fifteen minutes, assume something's gone wrong. But don't race in with guns blazing.
