(no subject)
Hi, all! This is a fantastic idea for a community; I've thought before that something like this should exist, and I'm glad that someone finally got around to creating it. Thank you, sub_divided. ^_^
I hope I can help others to find their lost fanfics, and that they can help me find mine. :D
Here are a couple that I've lost:
FUSHIGI YUUGI
Pairings: TasukixNuriko, KoujixChichiri
After Miaka goes back to her own world, Chichiri goes to live at Mount Leikaku with Tasuki & the bandits. Chichiri is in love with Tasuki, but Tasuki was in love with Nuriko and is still grieving for him. Kouji, in turn, is in love with Chichiri, but Chichiri is too intent on Tasuki to notice.
Tasuki dies somehow and is reunited with Nuriko. The two of them become ghosts hanging around the bandits' hideout and trying to get Kouji and Chichiri together. They have very limited powers of affecting the physical world, but they can do small things. (possibly one of the small things is knocking over a candle?)
(I have this persistent feeling that I read it here, but either I'm delusional or it's been removed.)
EDIT: Found! :D Life After Me by Ryu~Itsutsu. (I found it myself by browsing the archive of A~Ano FY Awards nominees. XD)
YU YU HAKUSHO / INUYASHA CROSSOVER
Pairings: vague, non-explicit (I believe) KuronuexKurama and SesshoumaruxKurama
Kuronue and Kurama are bandits running around in the Sengoku Jidai, when they run into Sesshoumaru. Sesshoumaru recognizes Kurama as a silver kitsune, an ornamental species bred in captivity to be the pampered pets of youkai lords. Since silver kitsunes were never meant to live the rough life of a bandit, Sesshoumaru decides to take Kurama into his protection for the kitsune's own good, and spirits him away to some sort of cave. Much pleading to be let go ensues from a rather weepy-uke-fied Kurama (I have a soft spot for melodrama...), as he tries to convince Sesshoumaru that he would be happier in the wild than in the metaphorical gilded cage.
