You Just Have to Love Those Wacky Nigerians!
I put five or six items for sale on EBay this week and got hits from the usual fruits and nuts. Zero bids, mind you.
The bids ran out today and I received no less than three deposits from Nigeria for two different items. Each deposit into my PayPal account exceeded the asking price of the item by at least $600 with shipping instructions to Nigeria.
This scam is beyond familiar. It's actually tiresome. Yet, I had to write to PayPal advising them of the fraudulent transactions and to the bidders telling them that the sale is null and void because my adds plainly state that these are cash and carry transactions; no shipping.
No more EBay. Ever.
