So. By remarkable coincidence, what with our recent trip to KSC, I just finished watching a program on National Geographic Channel about the alleged conspiracy of the Apollo moon landings.

Which is particularly interesting to me because — even as someone who has always been peripherally aware of the existence of those who believed the project was faked — I'd never actually seen and heard details of the arguments supporting the conspiracy theories. Until now.

And as such, I can now only say that they are the BIGGEST LOAD OF CRAP I'VE EVER HEARD.

I can't believe these wackos — and truly they are wackos; especially the supposed spearhead of the original conspiracy, who's an old man living alone in the Nevada desert with a bunch of cats — ever managed to gather this much steam for their cause.

After seeing the show, I was like, "That's it? That's all you've got? You're debunking the whole manned mission to the moon on the basis of this idiotic crap?! You've gotta be kidding me."

I'm not an engineer or pilot or astronaut, but even I could eat these guys' arguments for lunch. These are the kind of people who'd make Art Bell cringe and switch on his answering machine. And Art Bell makes me cringe.
