001 - Video / Audio
[At first there's only audio - the sound of someone fiddling with the electronics for a minute or two - before the video flicks on. Sarah looks up at the camera, then down at a keypad before doing a double take, realizing the video recording is now working.]
Hello? Hello? Testing? Great.
[Satisfied, she settles down and leans forward to make her first entry.]
I'm Dr. Sarah Harding. I agreed to come aboard the Barge as a warden for an unspecified period of time in exchange for funding for my research in Tanzania.
So far, it's been an interesting hour aboard - to say the least. There was a roller hockey game outside my door, but it looks like my neighbor put a stop to that pretty quickly. Now I know who I shouldn't cross.
[She's pretty jovial about the whole thing.]
I see there have been a few accidents lately, and considering the uproar, I'm going to guess it's not really common - I hope. One can hope, right?
[Her smile looks a little tight for a moment and she glances down at the table, gathering her thoughts.]
I don't have an inmate yet, so I really don't mind making myself useful. If there's a job to be done or an inmate who needs looking after until they're assigned a warden, let me know. I don't mind getting my hands dirty.
I'll leave the audio recorder on for a few minutes; if anyone needs anything or has any questions for me, I'll hear you. I'm just going to have a look around the room.
