[Public Audio]

I want everyone to listen to me, very carefully.

I know this seems swell and wonderful and exciting, but -

Wait, the little ones are poisonous?

Bloody hell. We got off easily.

The bite induces a sort of lethargy. Enough bites and you don't care that they're eating your face.

Bugger. Maybe that's why I-well, it was only a scratch, or so I thought at the time, and we chased them off and got clear of them.

Disinfect it.

...Una, you should know...I don't know if these are the same animals, but the ones I studied...

[Paaause.]

They were infected. It was a prion disease contracted from ground-up sheep in the feed they were given. Like mad cow disease or scrapie. You need to clean out that wound. A scratch might not have done it, but if there was any fecal matter -

Just clean it.

[Pause. Then a long, put-upon sigh.]

Oh for the love of-

Well. Damn good thing I brought a good first-aid kit. I did clean it up at the time, of course [well, maybe just a little late], but-sod. Between this and the ribs, I think my first stop back on the Barge will be at the infirmary.

I doubt it. We don't even know if these are the same animals, O'Brien. Just keep an eye on her.

And if she sweats, don't get trigger happy. It's hot out here.

It's not a head-cold or even the flu.

[Very very dryly:] As stated before, O'Brien, if I become an excessive burden, you have my official permission to do what you must to survive.

[Totally saying this where Sarah can see it, on purpose.]

Wouldn't be a bad idea to have everyone looked over when we get back to the Barge.
