[The video flicks on. Time for phase two of Sarah's plan to get the Barge back to its old, less angsty self. She's leaning on the desk, arms folded, and looking very pleased with herself.]I want to thank everyone who showed up Tuesday night, and especially whoever helped me stumble back to my room at three a.m. Next time, Thursday, I'm going to ( Read more... )

Proposed exemptions if someone has been attacked, is death tolling, or just uh... has been given damn good reason to complain.

The infirmary's always off-limits. Anyone who's injured enough that they can't take a water balloon in the back should probably stay in there.

Anyone else with a good reason to complain needs to allow their wonderful friends to put a beer in their hands and lend them a sympathetic ear. Especially if they've been hit hard with something recently.

I'll definitely take that beer if you're willing. [Personal matters are hard. Beer is not.]

Definitely. Right now or shall I pencil you in between Neil and Crane?

At this rate this boat's gonna turn you into an alcoholic. I'll just join you for dinner or somethin' then.

Oh, I'm not drinking with them.

[She holds up two water balloons by the knots - each has been labeled for their intended targets with a black Sharpie.]

But dinner would be nice, too.

I'm formally obligated to make you aware that perhaps you might need clearance with Mr. Crane's warden if water ballooning happens to interfere with his recovery process.

However, I can make up for this by offering you a duffel bag to use as a holster for your ammunition.

Do you think a water balloon to the back will really make him backslide?

Don't answer that. I'll talk to his warden. Eames, right?

Yup. That would be him.

[Though he bets sometimes Eames wants to water balloon Crane himself.]

Do you think he'd take it any better if his warden gave me permission?

Nope.

You know that old saying about begging forgiveness rather than asking permission?

So. Drinks or dinner, Kay?

Dinner would probably be a better idea. If I drink the whole goddamn time I'll be more of a liability than a benefit and I've not had a decent meal in days.

Have you been eating?

This probably goes without saying, but you need to take care of yourself, Kay.

I've been eating. Just mostly snacking, though. I've not sat down to a real meal. Not had much of an apatite.

But you're right. And I plan to.
