Dance 19
[Oh Christmas morning, Ahiru awoke groggily at first. She lay in bed half awake for a few seconds before things began to hit her. The things that had happened before... The things that had happened before that!
And, as she sat up with a start, she felt a familiar weight hit her chest. Or it had been familiar several month ago at least. She glanced down and saw a glint of red before all of the sources of her growing panic took over.]
QUAAAAAACK!
[Just like that, she was enveloped in light for an instant before it vanished and a duck wearing the same red pendant crawled out from under her pajamas.
Crap...
She managed to bundle up her clothes and carry them on her back, checking the hallways of her house carefully to make sure no one was around. She had to be certain that none of them saw her, especially since they had witnessed this form a few days earlier.
She made it to the bathroom without incident and closed the door, forcing the tub to at least drip so she could get in and change back. The water finally hit her and with another burst of slight and a quiet thud, she was once again in human form.]
...This is really bad...
[Since the time skips, Ahiru has been keeping to herself for the most part, still trying to convince herself that none of these things had ever really happened. The pendant now hanging around her neck was a good sign that one of them was unfortunately true, however.
She's now attempting to vocalize her thoughts on what happened and make it all okay with herself. For some reason she's doing it over the phone.]
S-so, uh, the town was just really weird lately, right? I mean, none of those things that happened were real! Well, they were, but...
W-we can't really go back and forth in time, right? So none of it really means anything if it really happened at all! Besides, most of it didn't even make sense! At first we were... uh... It was really confusing. And then everybody was older and acting weird. But we'll get out of here before then, right? A-and I don't think any of that would have ever happened anyway!
