Home Stretch
At last. The class is finished. There is one more day, but we get out at 2pm to pack our bags and get ready to go on Friday.
What a bizarre adventure this has been! We got to do some very fun things, but the trip was marred with all the money worries. I'm still not sure how I'm going to get back the money I spent on my personal credit card and folks are saying that even if we do our voucher first thing after we get home, they are hearing that it will be a couple of weeks before we get the money to pay toward the company credit card. Technically, if you don't pay the bill in full when it arrives, we can get written up. The new system they put us on to do travel sucks big time.
Oh well. What ever happens will happen. At least I would not be alone this time.
We have to pack our course material to be mailed back to work and I'm going to try to put in some personal stuff (colored pencils, crayons, coloring books, calculator etc) in with it so I won't have to try to pack it. I already am a bit worried I won't have enough room!
It looks like I'm going to have to give away the umbrella I bought in Savannah. It's just too big to fit in a suitcase and I already have a cane to carry. It's not really a high quality umbrella, but it is one of the really big ones. I got a big one because I was trying to protect myself AND the backpack I was wearing. I just didn't think about having to take it home. I hope someone will take it.
Finished off the leftovers of the Morton meal from yesterday. Not quite as tasty, but still good. I only spent about $6 for meals today, so that will help cover yesterday's big expensive meal.
Well, should start heading for bed. I hope I sleep better tonight than last night. I keep waking up and thinking it's time to go home. Soon......very soon...... :-)
