Peter pan complex
I still watch saturday morning cartoons. it's almost a sad obsession. i think it's the people behind these animated cells that i find interesting. i am fascinated by mel blanc, the man who basically created a majority of the voices for practically all the warner brothers 'toons (bugs to elmer fudd to even taz). i even have a favorite director... chuck jones. this is the man who created characters like marvin the martian, the road runner, and brought the grinch to life in the animated version of the dr. seuss tale. he has a gallery in old town that i visit everytime i'm there. if you haven't seen it i suggest you drop by. it even has a photo gallery with pics of the beatles, the stones, the who... and in some cases, all in the same picture.
People have asked me what a dream job would be for me. "i'd work for pixar," i would reply without haste. there is something in knowing you'll bring joy to peoples faces even long after you've passed. it's almost legendary.
