Patience is a ferch-ue
so many of you know that during this past year i've been workin on my first CD. and gawdamn it's a tedious process. it's taking a little bit... strike that, a LOT a bit longer that i wanted. but at least we have an idea of when it's goin to be released... drumroll please...

when i first got the news of that, i was extremely disheartened. ideally, i would have had this done by my birthday. i've been grinding on this damn CD for over a year. and we've finally got it to the point of where i dig all of the beats, and the basic story is there. to be honest with you, it'll be done by the end of the month. so when i heard we were aiming for may, i was thinking that was drastically later than i anticipated. then i thought, 'geez, the guys have had their album, Soul Intent completed a LONG time ago... like over a year. so i guess for mine to be released that soon is ok. but in accordance with all the other MAG FLUX releases, may would be the earliest to do it in order to build up hype. because we are going to be releasing and promoting an album every three months. so the time line goes as follows:
january: drop the "Full Metal Jacket" mixtape (click that to get a FREE copy) to garner hype for Off Brand's Soul Intent in...
february: release Soul Intent, and promote the SHIT outta it all throughout this month and...
march: just promote Soul Intent while preping the next mixtape which will drop in...
april: the mixtape that will generate hype for my cd which will be released in ...

sounds solid. mixtape, album, promote, mixtape, album, promote... but it seems so far away. i know it's going to creep up on me. but something down inside wanted something to be done before i hit my 30th year. i need to be patient though. aside from traffic and television commercials, i'm a very patient man. if i wasn't, i'd probably would have had a stroke a long time ago. then again, i've switched to decaf, so maybe i can deal with a little bit of stress. yeah right. stress free is how i be... so i guess i'll just chill till it's release... ha.
