Here in my hometown of Sunny San Diego, we have good things and bad things. Of course that's all relative. Let's weigh them out shall we?
We have a radio station that have their "flava unit" located at military recruiting stations. On the other hand, the
owners of the station don't have recruiting drives with the other handful of stations they own in my town, just the
urban one. "come on children of the hood, please come and get a college education... that is if you come back from Iraq mentally intact." (speaking of clear channel...
they just hooked up with fox news.. let the spin cycle begin!!!)
We have just one
newspaper. Which all seems well and good... if you didn't know they tilt a tad to the right. Considering that one of the two left-leaning op-ed columnists,
James O. Goldsborough, parted ways with the paper due to a
conflict with the red publisher...
We almost had a
WRITE IN canidate win the election for mayor. Now that's democracy in action ... BUT i did say
almost.
We are buliding new housing developments left and right, too bad not too many of us can
afford it.
the good news... at least the Chargers are winning.
