*he's talking on his cell phone when first he comes into the coffee shop; something about invoices, and he concludes with a definite "well, nice talking to you, hon, mmmbye" as he snaps the slick Nokia flip-phone shut. despite his thick black glasses and blazer, he manages to look urbane, confident, good-humored. he knows all of the drinks on the menu board, and in fact has encountered most of them personally, so when he rests his elbows on the counter and leans over, there's no hesitation at all* Caramel macchiato, thanks. Skim milk, whipped cream, lots of syrup.
