Yo!

Well, last night was the big YMCA Corporate Challenge Tug-A-War and we placed second to Zimmer. Technically the rules didn’t say that you couldn’t wear cleats, so we didn’t protest (and because its supposed to be friendly competition), but at least we beat them at an unofficial barefoot challenge afterward. Take that Z!

So I went swimming Tuesday after not having swam since Thursday and was only able to do five laps. Pretty pathetic. But that told me that swimming cannot be taken lightly and I’m going to have to go at least every other day until I get a rhythm going. I went yesterday and did 8 laps. I felt a lot better, but still weak. I stopped between every lap and still sucked water a couple of times. Today I went again and did 10 laps. I only tried breathing water once. It didn’t work. But I’m doing a lot better at getting my body rotated while I take in my breath, which is pretty important to being as streamlined as possible. It felt good.

Last night after the tugga, I worked on trying to find the short in the circuit that supplies power to my truck's radio, dome light, and cigarette lighter. After dismantling half of the dash panel to get a better look at the wires and finding more and more plastic layered beneath NOT giving me a good view of what is back there, I decided to put it all back together and go buy a fix-it manual tonight. I guess I'll just have to carry a bic around until I can get that lighter working again. How am I supposed to drive without my stogies?

Tonight I am going to golf 9 holes to warm up for tomorrow’s golf scramble. That should be fun. Then I am going to spend some time on the pool table preparing for Sunday’s YMCA Corporate Challenge Billiard’s Tournament. I know I’m good when I focus and get lucky, so hopefully if I can make the former happen, the latter will, too.

Have a great weekend!
