I think I have ADD. I afraid to get officially diagnosed though. It's like admitting defeat for me. Yes, Jeff, that's why it took me 7 months to get my shoulder looked at. I like to hope problems go away. Today when I admitted to my IAH Prof that I'm quite sure I have ADD after he confronted me about why I did so bad on my essay exam he lectured me ( Read more... )

I have an idea about ADD. ADD is something that doctors pooped out of their butts to solve something they couldn't explain in young minds. I have a chip on my shoulder about ADD because my mom made me take an ADD test when i was in sixth grade. The whole thing seemed to be a bunch of people banking on the whole idea. The tests were ridiculous, the worst was you got to look at a picture made of all sorts of geographic shapes and such, and they gave you like 15 seconds then you had to draw it yourself from memory. How fucking retarted. Then there was a box with a button on it and a red led display and they wanted me to punch the button and if i punched it too soon a light would come on. Well I must have failed them all because my mom got me ritalin. I refused to take it within the first few refills because the only way you should take it is through a little toot up the nostrils and Mrs. Heystek wouldn't let me crush them in the middle school office and snort lines off her file cabinet so it wasn't desireable anymore.

As you know she is the counselor at Carter and she is now certified to give the test. I made her give me the test on that machine and low and behold I passed the mf'er with flying colors. My mom cried because I was right all along and then she was like "I love you and I am sorry" but it was too late I was already out the door.

So today I sit here and think that there are just too many sweet distractions to write essays and listen to lectures. Do you really think that you will get distracted from something as serious as "acid all over"? Where is the logic? That's my take on the disease that affects everyone. Sure medicine can correct it, but do you really need extra medicine.
