Subject: Fw: Twas the month before Christmas* *When all through our land,* *Not a Christian
Twas the month before Christmas*
*When all through our land,*
*Not a Christian was praying*
*Nor taking a stand.*
*See the PC Police had taken away,*
*The reason for Christmas - no one could say.*
*The children were told by their schools not to sing,*
*About Shepherds and Wise Men and Angels and things.*
*It might hurt people's feelings, the teachers would say*
* December 25th is just a ' Holiday '.*
*Yet the shoppers were ready with cash, checks and credit*
*Pushing folks down to the floor just to get it!*
*CDs from Madonna, an X BOX, an I-pod*
*Something was changing, something quite odd! *
*Retailers promoted Ramadan and Kwanzaa*
*In hopes to sell books by Franken & Fonda..*
*As Targets were hanging their trees upside down*
* At Lowe's the word Christmas - was no where to be found.*
*At K-Mart and Staples and Penny's and Sears*
*You won't hear the word Christmas; it won't touch your ears.*
*Inclusive, sensitive, Di-ver-si-ty*
*Are words that were used to intimidate me.*
*Now Daschle, Now Darden, Now Sharpton, Wolf Blitzen*
*On Boxer, on Rather, on Kerry, on Clinton !*
*At the top of the Senate, there arose such a clatter*
*To eliminate Jesus, in all public matter.*
*And we spoke not a word, as they took away our faith*
* Forbidden to speak of salvation and grace*
*The true Gift of Christmas was exchanged and discarded*
*The reason for the season, stopped before it started.*
*So as you celebrate 'Winter Break' under your 'Dream Tree'*
*Sipping your Starbucks, listen to me.*
*Choose your words carefully, choose what you say*
*Shout MERRY CHRISTMAS ,
not Happy Holiday !*
Please, all Christians join together and
wish everyone you meet during the
holidays a
MERRY CHRISTMAS

Grandpa, I think we need to talk. Maybe we just dont agree on a few things. For starters, I love Al Franken. He's one of the few in the senate who's making any sense right now. Did you hear about his proposed anti gang rape bill?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6Q5kVbiWnAQ There's the link is case you missed it. Right now by my bedside I have and am currently reading Lies and the Lying Liars... And the Holy Bible. I don't see at all how they could be conflicting with one another. We do agree on some points though, Wall Mart, though claiming to be a christian company and do not sell birth control pill because of that, is an awful company ( see also this article:
http://moneycentral.msn.com/content/Insurance/P64954.asp ), as is Starbucks (see also This article:
http://www.organicconsumers.org/starbucks/081403_starbucks.cfm ). And so on. Years Christmas celebrations are responsible for millions and millions of pounds of trash and so on. People really do have their priorities mixed unbelievably the hell up. But here's a nugget of fact for you to ponder: You don't see that kind of excess around the menorah. Obviously those people deserver some respect, don't you think? Like maybe back off a bit. Goodness! This is a country of immigrants and as such we have to rely on the separation of church and state to keep our leaders clear headed and able to see the problems put in front of them objectively and really analyze the pros and cons of each possible plan of action. No one's being religiously oppressed here. God is not on your money anymore because he doesn't belong there. A true christian should be content to know that his chosen God is with him whether his name is on the money or not. What's more important is where you put your money. Spending Is Voting and you can vote for your favorite shopkeepers: the ones who share your ideals for instance. Spending Is Voting and spending at a company who will do unchristian things with your money is the real evil.
Feel free to forward this to everyone.
I love you,
Jessica
