Blowin' Smoke

Feb 08, 2006 11:55

Okay so a couple months ago all the talk radio shows were polling people about the new smoking 100 feet from the building laws. I personally took the stand of "play some damn MUSIC!" Until today I couldn't have cared less. If people want to get cancer by inhaling smoke from paper sticks or whatever, go for it. I personally choose to suck down my cancer in the form of nutrasweet on a daily basis. To each his own I say.

But today I had to run a couple errands for work. Each time I walked out of the building THE SAME GUY was exhaling a big cloud of nastiness right in my face. What the hell??? It's a beautiful sunny day, why couldn't he be standing at least a FEW feet from the door? I understand when it's a monsoon out there and people don't want their smokes to go out, so they stand under the covered area. Mostly these gray-faced humans are as far from the door as they can get without extinguishing the cancer stick. That's fine, I say. No harm done. And yet today, the sunniest of days in months, I get full frontal smoke attack. DIS-GUST-ING.

So do I complain to the management about the smoker ignoring the 100 feet rule? What say YOU?
