Remember Athens
Q: What was it like being married to Simon Adair?
Miriam: There were good times. Mostly, it was as if the circus continually came to town.
"Oh come on now, there were good times," Simon said, boyish smile belaying the lines of his face. "Remember Athens?"
"I remember the Parthenon," Miriam replied quietly.
Simon laughed. "I remember the crowd screaming - Simon! ...and something in Greek."
"How small we stood in the shadows of the columns..." she said.
"And I was like 'I don't even know what you're talking about, but I love you all!"
"You walked away into the sun."
