Trade in these wings on some wheels...

In honor of the 30th anniversary of 'Born to Run' I am listening to Bruce and feeling very nostalgic.

I went running this morning for the first time since the morning I left for college. I don't really like it without my dog and without my usual route but it'll have to suffice because I need the time to just not think. Plus music sounds better when I'm in motion for some reason.

Last night Andy asked me if I wanted to go surfing with him this morning. I told him I'd think about it but I never got back to him and now I really regret it. I always say that I wish I did more crazy, spur-of-the-moment stuff but then whenever opportunities come up I rationalize my way out of them. New Year's resolution anyone? Is it too early for that? Eh, fuck it: New Year's Resolution #1--be more spontaneous.

At least I spent a productive afternoon running errands with Pat. I picked up some of the necessities of life (i.e. tweezers, eyeliner, etc.) and I got to put in some quality face time with one of my favorite peeps here. One look at the inflatable snowmen outside of Bartell's and we were both in the Christmas spirit.

OK, so I know I mentioned this already, but seriously, 'Pride and Prejudice' is the orgasmic literary movie event of the season. All the hot studly college men I've seen are weaklings compared to Mr. Darcy. I'm adding P&P to my list of Christmas break pleasure reading/rereading, which so far looks like this:

Pride & Prejudice
Dharma Bums
the Anouilh version of Antigone
Cash by Johnny Cash

Ohhhh speaking of Johnny Cash (and orgasms)...WALK THE LINE COMES OUT ON FRIDAY AND I WILL FOR SHIZZLE BE IN THE MOVIE THEATER SEEING IT.

...and now there is nothing left for me to do but read Aristotle.
