That would be my ticket confirmation email from Amtrak. 9 DAYS! I've never been on a train before...but I like the idea of departing for college in one. There's something romantic about pulling away from a train station, I guess. Be a part of this Kodak moment...come see me off!
This inspired me to spend the morning checking the tour schedules of my favorite bands for Seattle stops. Let's just say I'll be broke by November:

So yesterday was my mom's birthday--and apparently a national holiday as well?--and I got her two fabulous pink lawn flamingos. She liked them, but now I want to keep them for myself, maybe add them to my collectioin of dorm decorations...which also includes a blow-up moose.
