[What is this thing and why is it screaming around his feet? After yelping out in fright and taking several steps randomly backwards, Giles lowers his head to the ground and begins looking around for the source of the tiny screaming voice.

It doesn't take him long to notice the flailing crab. So he tries for communication.]

Excuse me, um, Miss Crab.

[Wooow, you are loud. She puts her claws over her-

oh dammit, where are crab ears even. She has ears, right?]

[whimper]

O-oh, good morning-[you horrifying creature she's never seen before

But at least she knows something like you.]

... Lizard-san!

[...okay, so it's a villager. Please don't be afraid of him, unfamiliar villager.

Giles lays himself down on the ground so he's not quite so towering. One of his eyes is still about as big as Sayu is right now, of course.]

Well, lizard is close enough. [Not all cultures might be familiar with dragons, of course.] Um, hello. I didn't cause any harm, did I? [He doesn't quite get that his voice might be overwhelming right now, but he does look concerned.]

O-oh, no, I'm alright! Just a little overwhelmed by my... new height...

[she laughs a little, though it's a little strained]

I've never been almost stepped on before, you see.

I imagine it can't be very nice, no, being the way you are right now. Sorry I almost stepped on you.

Are you all right this far from the river? O-Or the ocean?

It's alright! It's hard to see something small when you're so big, right?

[A sigh]

Though I'm not entirely sure how I'm going to manage the day like this...

I know the feeling after these past few days. It's impossible to get much done when you're too big to fit through the average door. I suppose it must be the same if you're too small.

Is there anywhere in particular you're trying to go?

W-well, I was on my way to Seventh Heaven, just over there. But before I could even enter, I was barely off the ground, like this!

[S-sob, there's her piled up kimono and journal, just over there. She didn't cover much ground in her panic. ;~;]

Th-though I suppose I can't really wait tables when I'm this tall...

I don't think you could really manage a notepad, no. [He is sympathetic, if that's any help.]

Oh dear... I-I hope this doesn't ruin my memory at all for these next few days...

...sorry, did you say your memory?

Oh, yes! My memory! I'm afraid I have a condition where I tend to forget things very easily.

[ring any bells? 8Db]

[...yes, actually, it does.

Hrm...good lord, he should know her name, shouldn't he? Give him a sec, Sayo - it'll come to him.]

I'm very sorry to hear that.

[She pats his... uh, paw-hand-she's really not sure what to call it-quite at ease now that she's not about to die a horrible squishy death.]

It's fine! I'm far too used to it, at this point, for it to need a sorry.

It would probably be pointless to ask if we've met, then, wouldn't it?

Because you do sound very familiar.
