Note that dog breeds not recognized by the Kennel Club (and therefore not controlled by its breed standards) tend to be much closer to the average person's platonic ideal of the "generic dog." This dog has more "bulldoggy" porportions (shorter, rounder stout, stockier body, etc) than a border collie or a lab or something, but he's got much more "typical doggy" porportions than a pedigree bulldog.
Personally, I think he's far more attrative than any "champion" bulldog or mastiff.
