Ace Attorney babblimgs

If pheonix wright (Gyakuten Saiban) were an anime:
Each gameplay segment between save points would be converted to an individual episode. Each game would be a season. Main series would consist of original three games' cases, with the case from the manga as potential filler. Rise From the Ashes would be an OVA. Apollo Justice would be an oddly named sequel series named Gyakyuten Saiban JUSTICE, despite the fact that Justice is not his name in the japanese version. Why? I dunno, rule of COOL.

OP: definately do NOT want some generic J-rock or J-pop opening. Perhaps something derived from game music? I think the Pursuit themes actually make the best theme songs. They'd be great with lyrics. HAVE MAGICAL TRICK SOCIETY DO THE LATER GAMES' CORNERED THEMES, DANGIT.

First PursuitTheme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sg7iWlqwwX4&feature=related
Second Pursuit Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wrt4Lkic-dw&feature=related
Third Pursuit Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LZ_jyRoMSLY&feature=related
Fourth Pursuit Theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PfAyEWr0004

Animation for OPs? Imagining lots of "red string of fate" imagry, possibly with the red strings intertwined with the psyche-locke chains in the second and third OP. Big web of psyche-locke chains and red string conecting the characters and creating an enourmous web thats surrounds Pheonix, and can only be broken by the power of DEBATE and EVIDENCE and TRUTH. Because in these games, EVERYONE is connected to everyone else. Usually by tragedy and death. Also a dramatic montage of various characters from that "season", especially the important ones.

EP: I imagine orchestrated versions of the various character themes. Turnabout Sisters (Maya) for season one, Great Revival (Franny and Edgeworth) for season two, Fragrence of Dark Coffee (Godot) for season three. Fourth season would have Guitar's Serenade for EP. Animation would be very relaxed and slow-paced.

On a semi-unrelated note, Ace Attorney assistants and magical girls. Warning: TVTropes Wikiwords are in effect in 3, 2, 1...

Kay Faraday: We already know she's a wannabe Phantom Theif with strong Highly Visible Ninja leanings. But she invokes By The Power of Greyskull ("Dark skies of evening, when no other bird dares to take wing, one alone remains all-seeing! Now, witness the true power of a real, modern-day Robin Hood!") every time she uses Little Theif , and invokes In The Name of The Moon ("Even in the depths of night, when no other bird dares to take flight, one alone soars to shine the light of righteousness on the world's blight! And that one is me! For I am the Great Thief, Yatagarasu!") when she makes her first apearance to rescue Edgeworth. Also, quote from TVTropes:  "Some [magical girls] go out and battle Dramatic Evil, usually with a lot of mystic firepower and weird outfits (usually a glammed up Mini Dress Of Power) and called attacks." Kay Faraday has holograms instead of mystic firepower, but she sure as hell battles evil in a weird outfit. She seems to be most similar to Magical Girl Warriors.

Trucy Wright: Is a magician of the smoke-and-mirrors variety in canon. Like a Magical Idol Singer, she uses her "magic" for fame and entertainment purposes. She also reminds me of the Cute Witch for reasons I do not fully understand.

Maya Fey: Despite actually being magical, probably the least reminiscent of a magical girl, though she might have some stray similarities with the Cute Witch.

Whatever.
