- The various personifications (not just the nations and sub-nations, but things like the Mr. Newspapers or the clothing stores) in the hetalia-verse are, well, kind of the humanity-equivalent of nature spirits. People-spirits, I guess you could call them? They're alot more mortal and psychologically human than nature spirits, but in their formation, physical presence, etc. they're closer to nature spirits than to ghosts or astral projections.
-All of the nations are VERY supernatural when newly formed, but most end up weakening or supressing them for various reasons (they want to be seen as human by their people and don't want to scare them away/the people and the nation stop believing in the supernatural/ local authorities are don't trust the supernatural and tell them it is BAD, etc). A few, obviously, didn't: England, Norway, America (partially, anyways).
-China also didn't supress his supernaturalness, as seen by the fact that he ANSWERS TO A DRAGON. Out of all the nations, he's the one that leans the closest to being nonhuman or above-human (He might actually be part nature-spirit.), hence his being listed as "immortal" on the character profiles.
-Italy actually has some supernatural manifestations that never got weakened or repressed because he had no idea he was causing them--he kind of f*cks up time, summoning people (including himself) from the past to the present. (Seen not only in the strips where chibitalia and HRE are running around along adult!italy, but also in the anime episode where he opens a briefcase with a very alive Machiavelli inside. Durring WWII. You can NOT tell me something weird isn't going on there).

That's all for now. I might post some characterization stuff later someday.

hetalia, i think too much
