British and loving it

Well I'm here in England... and to be quite honest, it's pretty amazing. I'm currently rooming with a French dude named Etiene (I'll learn how to pronounce it some day), a German girl, and four British girls. That's right... a total of 7 people living here... but the place is ginormous! My room that I have all to myself is bigger than any room I have ever lived in... and it has a sink! YAY!

Anyways, the city here is charming and friendly, and everyone talks like they're from Harry Potter (they're all Weasleys!!!), plus I'm learning the difference in accents from all over England... but what's more is that it's currently international week so I'm meeting other students from all over the globe. Last night was an International Student Association party at one of the on campus bars, and it was crotch-grabbingly amazing. Plus- the French girls... god I love that accent.

Pub's are everything I heard they would be, and the beer is so smooth and delicious. I just want to freeze it so I can skate on it and then melt it in the summer so I can drink it (what's that quote from, hmmm?) The food here is also surprisingly scrumptulescent, which is contrary to what everyone told me. It's just a bit heavy, which means I need to get into a show ASAP so I can start burnin some cals.

So, there is some sort of party or clubbing excursion every night here, and on saturday one of my roommates boyfriend, Tom (totally stereotypical Yorkshire accent... bitching lad) is taking me to a rugby game, which I am absolutely stoked about.

Anywho, England is great. Anyone who cares to pop over just give me a ring (message me for my new British number), and you're more than welcome to come and visit.

Till then, cheers and ta-
Joshels

P.S. The accent has already begun to worm itself into my dialect. It's hard to talk to them all the time and not slip into it, or at least to not use all their fun words like "mate" and "bugger" and "cheers". It's just too much fun not to! Plus, the expression on everyone's face when you tell them you're from California is priceless- it's like instant celebrity status! AMAZING!
