my mom has been getting all this orthodox jew condolences--may you be remembered with the mourners of zion and jerusalem (i don't get it, i'm just a reform kid). so anyway, all her faculty (orthodox jewish women, inc.) called and left super long messages of condolences to the wrong phone number. they suggested that my mom call the number to ask to hear her messages. my mom suggested to me that she call and apologize to whoever it is. my dad thought it was a blessing the sympathetic jewish women had the wrong number.
