Lockers, Binders and Jackets

After the second day of school, I am dead tired. The school day seems to take a really long time this year, and I'm not sure if I like the idea of having a full schedule. But at least I finally have a locker, and it is in an awesome location, right near a lot of my classes. Much better than my locker last year, way out in East Jesus (the new wing)

Although, one thing that really annoys me at school is how strict my teachers are with their required materials this year. Last year, I carried around a few notebooks, a homework folder and a binder for French, and that was it. So I figured that I would save myself frequent trips to my locker by buying a five-subject notebook with folder pockets and just using that. But, this year, all of my teachers are doing stuff like binder and notebook checks, and are requiring stuff like 2" binders, or binders with dividers, only for that subject. I thought we were beyond the teacher-imposed organizational systems, and wouldn't have binder checks anymore. My troubles reminded me of an article that I read in Time or Newsweek, about some guy's opinion that the American educational system needed a makeover, making it less strict, allowing students to do much more work on their own, without elementary stuff like binder checks

Also, I finally got my xc jacket back!! It is an awesome jacket; I got a brand new one, right out of the plastic wrap. I am definitely wearing it to school tomorrow.
