More on the state of the Church...
For those of you wanting to keep up with events in BA church gossip, Bri and I are attacking rumors in a new blog, which you can read here (it's not current but it will be as soon as i get some information from a friend...):

NC Pulse (the new Young Adult Connection) is also striving to keep young adults informed by starting monthly forums, which you can read about on the blog. If you are out of town you can still participate by calling in on conference call and listening to speakers and then asking questions. It's pretty exciting to try to leave room for young adult participation, and future leadership, in this church that so often only responds to an aging community...
There are also so really strange rumors that we are excited to tackle with this blog, but I don't have enough information to do that YET. it's hard to maintain it while also keeping up with a really intense school load and a couple jobs. so there's some lag but please keep checking on it and COMMENT. we want this to work!
another place you all can look for news, rumors, and discussion is leah rose's facebook page, where apparently people just post whatever they are hearing or thinking about the church....she will friend anyone who wants to know what's going on, i guess. i haven't read it but it sounds more like a rumor mill than an effective forum for discussion. which is not her fault. and also is an assumption. your call.
