I wish they hadn't stuck Nyssa in that poofy dress and fairy skirt. Even by 1981 most western females had abandoned skirts for shorts, trousers and jeans.

Ah, but Nyssa wasn't human - the fairy dress was meant to represent the height of stuffy, formal Traken fashion! At least she got rid of it quickly enough.

JN-T did the same thing with with the character of the little girl Stellar in Dragonfire with a poofy dress with puff sleeves that could have been worn by the Russian Princess Anastasia.
