37 glasses of water a day keep the "doctor" away

I have a bad back. That's been an unfortunate truth about me since before high school. I joke a lot about my incessant need to fidget, but it comes from back trouble, not restlessness. It's a combination of some predisposition, weight, boobs, posture, and lifestyle. It comes and goes in seriousness and I ebb and flow in how much I take care of ( Read more... )

Do you really only fidget because of your back? That makes the jokes less funny! :/ I mean, we're probably still going to scream "fiiiidget" either way. But I thought, while I knew you had a bad back (and bad knees which also lead you to fidget I'm sure) ...you also were a 'fidgeter'. I mean, maybe that's a chicken and an egg thing going on.

I am so curious where exactly you were. Hopefully I will remember to ask you to point out this artspace/doctors office to me.

And...chiropractors. I have had mixed feelings, reviews, and recommendations about them for the past 10 years. Some have said "you have a bad back and you've never tried seeing a chiropractor on a regular basis!?" I've also heard the horror stories. But at this point, I have heard WAY more good than bad from people with personal experience with them. If it helps, it helps.

But I think you are onto something with just the water, the stretching, and the wii fit, honestly. Like, chiropractors can put a much-needed band-aid on the larger problem people have of not taking the time to take care of their back problems. If you start doing Wii Fit Yoga, stretching, and all that ...I have a feeling you'd (we'd all) see similar positive effects as if you went to a chiropractor consistently. It's just...what you choose to have the time for?
