Just to see what was happening in Bahrain (where I grew up, off the coast of Saudi), I typed in Bahrain into Yahoo News...terrorists are planning suicide attacks there. Terrorism has always been a thing there, but not to that extreme. I remember my mom driving me to school and there would be police out in full riot gear. Bombs went off near my house all the time, but we were lucky and they never went off close enough to do any damage. They used to be so accepting of Westerners there, now they are shunning them and wanting to kill them. It's quite upsetting, because I always thought of Bahrain as a great place to live. I've always said I'd love to move back there, but now I don't think I would. I still have friends that live there, and I'm worried about them.
It's gorgeous there, I'll post pictures once my scanner is working...hopefully soon lol.
